Knife Sharpening & Garden Tool Maintenance with Sam Rezendes
Develop the skills to keep all your edges sharp. The first part of this hands-on class will focus on sharpening kitchen knives using Japanese whetstones. Covering all the bases, from recognizing when a blade is dull, understanding blade geometry, learning the motions, to understanding when you’ve gotten the blade sharp! For the second part, we’ll look at sharpening and maintaining pruners, loppers and garden snips. From basic sharpening touchups, to taking apart, cleaning and sharpening the blades. Hopefully when we’re done, you’ll have the tools and confidence to keep most of your household tools working well.
