Paper Flower Workshop with Quynh Nguyen
Join us for a delightful day of creativity and floral artistry at our upcoming paper flower workshop taught by the talented Quynh D. Nguyen on July 15th!
In this immersive workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn the intricate art of creating paper flowers and creating stunning arrangements. The class will run from 10am to 4:30 pm, giving you ample time to delve into the world of paper flower making and the art of arranging them with fresh blooms from the farm.
Under the expert guidance of Quynh D. Nguyen, an experienced paper artist renowned for her exquisite paper flower designs, you'll start the day by learning how to create the mesmerizing Claire de Lune Peony, a captivating flower with delicate layers and a subtle color palette. Quynh will share her techniques, tips, and tricks to help you achieve stunning results with crepe paper. With her guidance, you'll master the delicate art of shaping and assembling paper petals, bringing your Claire de Lune Peony to life with remarkable realism.
After the morning session, you'll take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with locally sourced ingredients, savoring the farm-to-table experience that Full Bloom Farm is known for. You'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow flower enthusiasts and exchange creative ideas.
In the afternoon, Quynh will guide you through the process of arranging your Claire de Lune Peony with fresh flowers from the farm. You'll explore the principles of floral design, discovering how to harmoniously combine colors, textures, and shapes to create stunning arrangements. Quynh's expertise and artistic vision will inspire you to create a masterpiece that beautifully combines the elegance of paper flowers with the vibrancy of fresh blooms.
The workshop fee is $165, which includes all the materials you'll need to create your Claire de Lune Peony and then arrange with it and fresh flowers from Full Bloom Farm into a provided vessel. The picturesque setting of the farm provides the perfect backdrop for a day of creativity and connection with nature.
This workshop is designed for flower lovers who appreciate the beauty of both fresh and paper flowers. Whether you're a seasoned paper florist or a novice floral enthusiast, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn new skills, unleash your creativity, and indulge in the joy of working with flowers.
The Setting
The workshop will take place in our newly renovated barn studio, full of natural light and located right beside the flower garden and farm stand. Students can take time before or after class to explore the farm, nearby beaches, forested trails, and wildlife that Lummi Island offers.
Food to look forward to
Delicious farmhouse pastries, coffee, and tea will be served in the mornings before class. Lunches will be served from our wood-fired oven featuring pizza made with local flour, cheeses and veggies grown on the farm, salads from the farm, and dessert made with fruit from our orchards and brambles.

Coming to Lummi for the day is easy! Our ferry runs on the hour from Gooseberry Point (30 mins from Bellingham, 1hr20 mins from Vancouver, 2hrs from Seattle), and you don’t need reservations. July can be a busy time of the year on Lummi Island, so if you’d like to stay the night, we encourage you to book overnight accommodations as soon as possible.
